Bronson is my sixth favorite movie. This 2008 movie is based on the real life British prisoner Charles Salvador, A.K.A Charles Bronson. This movie revolves around Tom Hardy, who plays bronson. He gives a great performance as the mad fight crazed man. The movie did a great job of diving deeper into Bronson’s mind. The pure insanity that Tom Hardy brought to the roll was incredible and it was permanently cemented into my mind after. The film did struggle on making money in the box office. Although it only made 2.3 million dollars at the box office in America it has since become a cult classic.

My seventh favorite movie of all time goes to Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight movie. This gritty take on Batman was not another origin film but a continuation of the Nolan’s first Batman film, Batman Begins. This movie follows Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne or Batman as he takes on the borderline psychotic villain Joker, played by the late Heath Ledger. The Joker is my favorite villain of all time and Ledger’s Joker was the best incarnation yet. He was mad but calculated just like the Joker in the comics.  This movie at the time was the first wildly successful gritty take on a comic book character seen in film.

Pulp Fiction is directed by Quentin Tarantino and is my eighth favorite film ever made. This film has an all star cast of actors that including; Ving Rhames, John Travolta. Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Walken, Tim Roth, Harvey Keitel, and Peter Green. The story is very complex and hard to follow not watched carefully. It is a kind of dark comedy and action. It is filled with very witty and humorous and witty dialogue. The movie is fairly long with a run time that is just under 3 hours.

My ninth favorite movie has got to be John Wick. This revenge action flick breathes a breath of life into the action genre. This movie stars Keanu Reeves as John Wick. The action sequences rival that of marvels daredevil. They are filled with intense hand-to-hand combat and armed combat scenes. The choreography is possibly the best ever seen in an action film. The movie also does a great job of making interesting characters and sets up an amazing mythology. It is a film that can be watched countless times and still be just as exciting as the first watch.

My tenth favorite movie is 300 This movie is an action movie based on the graphic novel of the same name. This 2006 action blockbuster was directed by Zack Snyder. This movie was wildly successful and made more than 7 times its budget at the box office. This film stars Gerard Butler as King Leonidas. The film centers around the conflict between the 300 warriors of Sparta and the seemingly endless army of Persia. This is a somewhat lengthy film coming in at a run time of 2 hours. The film uses its slow motion to help show the brutality of this war.
