In my English class my teacher, Mrs. Birnell, had the whole class read a book depending on which English class they were planning on taking next year. Wanting to take AP English, I of course had to read Shakespeare. I read the Taming of the Shrew. Once we read the book, she told us that we would have to get in a group and make and Imovie over some social problems that occurred in the book that seem to still be occurring today. My group decided to do this project over the following topics: gender roles, body image, and the standards and expectations that are pressured onto men and women. Please watch our ten-minute movie to learn more.
