Wow, wow it is only the beginning of November; why are all the streets already filled with Christmas lights? Everyone around is already jamming to Christmas music and ready for the holiday to begin. Don’t even get me started on the Hallmark channel. Hallmark is my mom’s favorite part about this holiday being near. Every night, lately, she has been staying up late to finish just one more Hallmark movie. If you walk into a store this time of year, you would think that Christmas is tomorrow with all the decorations they have out. I feel as if Christmas comes faster year after year.

Everyone knows that with Christmas comes shopping. This kind of shopping is not the usual type. Its name is Black Friday shopping, and it starts earlier and earlier every year. Black Friday is the time to get all your Christmas shopping done because everything goes down in prices. If you want the good deals, you better be ready to get there soon after opening and be ready to be pushed around a little bit. My family has never been the ones to get up super early for this event, but we still go around eight every year. We circle all the stuff we think we need out of the ads and go from there. We usually hit the mall last, for the mall is the most crowded and a lot of aggresive people shove their way to the front.

That, however, is not my favorite memory of this wonderful Christmas season. It would have to be everything the “We Care” program has to offer like the Christmas tree auction that is held in a mall every year. Every year the trees get crazier and crazier. They are lined all throughout the Kokomo mall this year and they get auctioned off soon. The trees are great and all, but the we care christmas lights at their park are amazing. They hang so many christmas lights in the park that it is incredible. They hand out candy canes and hot chocolate, which go together perfectly for this time of year. I believe what makes me love the trees and the lights the most is it is time I get to spend with my family. They use to take me when I was really little, and they still take me now; it’s fun to look at photos then and the photos now of the visits we took together.

I loved this point of view on how soon Christmas decorations and everything else comes into our lives. This was a very well written article with similar syntax in each paragraph which made it very interesting. I also loved how you put your own experiences and added refutation to your previous attitude towards Christmas by telling what you really like about the holiday.
