Recently I have been trying to find a new show to watch on Netflix. Some may think this wouldn’t be too difficult, but it can be. Although the website has many options, someone may never know which one will just click. I am very into conspiracy theories and anything creepy. When I saw the show I am a Killer in the sea of shows and I thought that I would give it a chance.

The title of this show is very straight to the point. It lets the viewer know what it’s about, really, and it’s a bit unsettling. It might turn some people away for this reason. The show is intended to be unsettling and uncomfortable, which makes it interesting to watch. This documentary-style show follows ten people that are on death row for committing a murder. Essentially, the murderer is telling the story. Each episode is about 50 minutes long and follows one of the killers. It takes you through their childhood, and lifestyle at the time, why they did it, and how being on death row is affecting their lives.

When I first sat down and watched it, I ended up wasting three hours of my day watching this show. It really is so fascinating. The editor puts everything together in a way that keeps the viewer on his/her toes. There’s scenes where the man who committed the crime stares into the camera for a little too long. It’s almost as if the viewer is there looking into the eyes of the killer. You wonder what is going on in his head and why he ever thought that taking someone’s life was a good idea.

Some people might find this show to be a little too much, but it really is a good show if they can handle it. The creators of the show have actors recreate what happened. If someone is seriously triggered by blood or death, he/she might not want to watch the show. I would highly recommend this show to almost anyone, just maybe not anyone under the age of thirteen, or anyone who has gone through trauma. It can be pretty intense at times.

The first episode is about a man named James Robertson. This man is extremely creepy, and when the viewer first sees him, he/she immediately feel threatened. Looking into his eyes is a chilling moment in the show. Once I learned about him, his life, and why he is on death row, I almost felt sorry for him. How could someone possibly feel remorse for someone that took another man’s life? I don’t know, but the creators did a magnificent job in doing so.

While watching this show, I found myself asking so many questions. Is the killer lying or being honest? The viewer can never tell because the killers are so manipulative. I believe the creators of the show did this on purpose, which was a great idea. If a show or movie keeps the viewer asking questions, that means they’re interested. As I mentioned before, I would highly recommend this show to almost anyone.

You also did a very good job of emphasizing why someone shouldn’t watch it and why someone should. This is a good article, and I can’t wait to watch the show!
