Today I would  like to talk about the Colin Kaepernick endorsement deal with Nike. Nike just aired its first “Just Do It” ad narrated by Colin Kaepernick. The current Just Do It campaign celebrates some of the most inspirational athletes today, who have chased dreams no matter the obstacle or outcome.” The fowling professional athletes including Serena Williams, Odell Beckham Jr, and Shaquem Griffin. The quote says “Believe in something even if it means sacrificing everything.” Donald Trump the United States President said, “I don’t support this because I actually support the National Anthem.”

Also Trump states, “I don’t like what Nike did. I don’t think it’s appropriate.” On Tuesday September 4 Trump he told the Daily Caller that Nike’s Kaepernick ad bring a “terrible message.” If you didn’t know Colin Kaepernick was a former quarterback for the San Francisco

49ers. He went to the University of Nevada for his college years. “He was a really great person”said President Trump.

In 2016 at New Era Field in San Francisco Colin took a knee during “The Star-Spangled Banner” Witch got more people to take a knee during the National Anthem to stop police  violence.

Serena Williams states she has  given her support to Nike endorsement  athlete Colin Kaepernick, despite the American athletics brand facing a backlash for including him in its latest advertising campaign.

Williams is through to her first U.S. Open semi-final since 2016, but following her win against Karolina Pliskova, she found herself answering questions relating to whether she agreed with Nike’s choice to feature the former NFL quarterback. “He’s done a lot for the African American community and it’s cost him a lot and he continues to do the best that he can to support.” “

Kaepernick and Eric Reid, former teammates with the San Francisco 49ers, were in attendance at the Williams sisters’ match and received large ovations when each was shown on the stadium’s big screen.Williams said that everyone should “be completely grateful and honored” at how both men have done so much for the “greater good.” “They really use their platform in ways that is really unfathomable,” Williams added.  “I feel like they obviously have great respect from a lot of their peers, especially other athletes, people that really are looking for social change.”  I really don’t know if I agree with the ad or disagree with the ad because I don’t really support the idea of kneeling during the national anthem. Coach Quick says “ I like the ad and agree to the ad because It was Nike’s choice because they are a multi-million dollar campaign it’s their choice if  they want to lose millions, and yes it does have to do with a little bit of police violence but it has nothing to do with the flag and people need to understand that.

Good article Robert. It is certainly interesting how the world is handling the Kaepernick situation. Truly I think he has every right to do whatever he wants during the national anthem. It doesn’t bother me what he does. He is doing it all for publicity as he said he was doing it to gain attention for violence against black citizens. It is all a publicity stunt that just needs to go away for the better of the country.
