Lewis Cass Schools offered dental day on Wednesday, January 23rd. This program helped benefit any elementary or high school student that doesn’t have the opportunity to go to the dentist. After signing up, the students were called out of class and visited with a dentist who did a cleaning, screening, and a flouride treatment on each patient. Anybody could sign up for it, and it happened to be free for many students who met the qualifications.

“This program helps benefit our community by helping out the parents. It saves transportation time and money,”  said Mrs. Comoglio, the high school nurse.

This is the first year Lewis Cass Schools offered this program to the high school students, but the second year offering it to the elementary. This year  seven high school students and many elementary students attended this dental outreach day.

This program is sponsored by Indiana Dental Outreach called Smile Programs by the Mobile Dentist.
