When you’re snowed in for a whole weekend, nothing better exists than to cuddle up and watch some feel good movies. Movies with a little comedy, a little romances, and a little bit of a twist are my favorite ones to end the night. This weekend my family was scrolling through Netflix for about a half an hour before we finally turned on a movie called “In-Lawfully Yours.” This movie was introduced to us by one of my family’s church friends, so we decided to give it a try.

This movie tells the story of a women named Jesse who is married to a cheating husband named Chaz. The husband’s dad passes away and Naomi, his mom, is now moving out of her house. Although Jesse has filed a divorce, she stays with his mom to help her pack up her stuff. Meanwhile, Chaz’s brother Ben is a pastor at a church near Naomi’s house. Jesse catches Ben’s eye and the romance begins. However Chaz gets in the way and ruins Ben’s job, his own relationship with his mom, and his brother’s love relationship. Don’t worry though, Ben and Jesse find their way back together. In all this chaos of life, Jesse begins her walk with God and begins her journey in faith. It’s quite a story, and it makes for a great movie.

This movie has a great christian background. It helps tell the story of how a girl so lost in the world can come to know the Lord and be found again. It doesn’t skip her walk in faith like most stories. This girl was confused and didn’t understand the Bible and questioned why people go to church. Her first time going to church she sat their raising her hand to ask question, which was abnormal. She became frustrated with God, but Jesse realized “how could she hate something she didn’t believe in?” She had no answer and realized she wanted to know the Lord personally.

My parents both enjoyed the movie, and my mom said, “It had a good story, but the romance was what made it good.” She also loved the christian background to it.

I would highly recommend this movie. If you like Hallmark movies, you will definitely love this movie. It has that romance feel with the happily ever after ending just like all the Hallmark shows. If you like religious movies, this will really be a seller. I liked the the idea of the movie however, the plot development was kind of slow. I didn’t understand that it was a Christian movie until halfway through the movie. Overall, I recommend this movie, and I hope I didn’t spoil to much of the movie for you.
