Huskies Sent to The Dog Pound

Dixon Collins threw a four-hitter game as the Kings beat the Huskies 10-0 to win the East part of the Hoosier conference. They travel to Benton Central on Friday for a great matchup.
Dixon has thrown a no-hitter game in his life. “I threw a no-hitter during an All-Star game versus Rossville when I was in junior high.”  He started his last high school season in a great way. “My first outing this season versus Northwestern I threw a one-hitter which was a pretty good outing and win for us as a team to get things started.”
“There’s no better feeling being that close to throwing a no-hitter,” said Dixon. “This season versus Northwestern, I had a no-hitter going through the fifth inning and a hard-hit ball came right back to me on the mound. My first instinct was to get it, but I should’ve let Easton Good (shortstop) take it. It went right off the side of my glove and I didn’t give Easton a good chance to make a play.”
As a pitcher who has thrown no-hitters in junior high, I agree with Dixon there is no better feeling to throwing a great game with great teammates behind me making the plays.
This Friday Dixon and the Kings will have a tough match up against the Bisons of Benton Central. Dixon said, “We really don’t know much about Benton Central who we play on Friday for the conference title, but we do know they’ve beat some real good competition on the west side of our conference, so we have to come out and compete. It’s going to be an outstanding atmosphere.”
A loyal following of Kings fans have been behind the team traveling to away games all season. Hopefully, Kings nation will help cheer you guys on to help us bring home a conference championship. We wish you good luck and hope you have a great rest of your season.
