Parachute

The parachute was invented with the purpose of the capability to land safely from high heights. Parachutes are dome-shaped, but vary with rectangles or inverted domes. Parachutes were made in the 1780s. Originally, Leonardo da Vinci first wrote about the invention dealing with the science of gravity and air resistance in his books, but was put to use by Jean Pierre Blanchard.

The first foldable parachute was made from silk, and all parachutes were made with rigid frames. Some changes were made to the design by Mr. Garnerin, he designed the first air vent into a parachute intended to reduce oscillations. Now they are made with material like woven nylon.

Some improvements I would make to the parachute would be to add four smaller parachutes attached to metal rings for more security and balance. The metal rings at the bottom of the parachutes will act like legs of a helicopter.
