I can still feel his arms wrapped around me
From him lifting me up in front of the brick building.
Six months have passed and I still remember
The glasses on his nose and the squeak of his shoes
While he turned his back and walked with that man.
Every night his voice echoes through my bedroom
Telling me to never end up where he’s at now, right before
The lady on the phone warns us that the time is almost up.
I hear it in his voice, the way that he has changed.
He means what he says when he tells me he loves me,
The connection cuts out, fifteen minutes never felt so short
