The Lady Kings ran hard to place second out of four schools in last week’s big county meet hosted by Caston.  The final scores ended with Logan having 27, Cass 60, Caston 65, and Pioneer 82. Haley Johnson led the Kings placing 3^rd, Savanna Thompson placed 9^th, Kaylee Avallee placed14^th, Sydney Sofronichi 17^th, and Makenzie Wiles in 19^th.

Haley Johnson said, “We weren’t very fresh. We got a good look at our competition for sectionals, and we will keep them in mind to chase them down when it really counts.”

The Lady Kings also raced Saturday, placing fourth in the Benton Central Bison Stampede. Rensselaer finished 1^st with a total score of 30, North White 70, Benton Central 87, Cass 89, Fountain Central 99, Attica 136, and Delphi didn’t have a full team. Top twenty-five ribbons went to Haley in 6^th, Sydney Sofronichi 19^th, and Savanna Thompson 23^rd.

Coach Rush added, “I felt we were aggressive in the start and once each member of the team digs down and finds the right focus and a little more heart, then we will be where we need to be in two weeks(for sectionals).”
