King’s Football and Cheerleading!
Lewis Cass has a lot of sports to offer, from tennis, to volleyball, and many many more. Today, we are talking about the Lewis Cass football team and their cheerleaders. First of all, congrats to our high school football team for winning three games in a row, woo hoo! Secondly, what is football and how do you play it, you might ask? According to Howtheyplay.com, “Football is a team sport that is played on a rectangular field and the goal of the game is to get the football into the opponent’s end zone”. If you are really good at football, you can make it into the NFL, short for the National Football League.
If you’re looking for an athletic sport to join, football is a good choice. Our school has a pretty good football program. There is flag football for the younger kids through 3rd grade, this will help you learn the basics before you start tackle. Tackle football is for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. 7th and 8th grade also have a football team and so do the high schoolers (9th-12th grade).
Lewis Cass has cheerleaders to cheer them on at their games. They cheer for grades 6-12. The cheerleaders do unique and entertaining cheers and chants to get the crowd on their feet and encourage the football players at games. The cheerleaders do things like kicks, jumps, cheers, chants, and stunts.
We decided that to get more information about our grade’s football team, we would interview some players! We asked them some interesting questions about football we were curious about, and wrote down their responses!
