What is your favorite state? Is your favorite state always hot or always cold? You might not even have a favorite state. The best state is Florida because of its climate and the ocean is surrounding it, and there is no income tax.

The first reason I think Florida is the best state is because it’s always warm. I don’t know about you but I love summer time and being able to be outside a lot. Since Florida is near the equator, the state is always going to be warm and obviously sometimes hot. When the weather is nice, you are able to be outside, you can get lots of exercise, and fresh air. On the other hand, when the weather is bad, meaning it is raining or it is cold, you don’t have the best interest in going outside. Also, you can’t do as many activities when the weather isn’t nice. For example, in the summer you play basketball or go to a water park, but when winter comes you can’t do those activities. According to pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov, “Over the course of a summer season, when people are outside, they spend on average 1-2 h per day outdoors.” and according to insidehook.com, “ People mostly spend 120 minutes a week outdoors in the winter.” According to these websites, people go from spending 1-2 hours a day outside in the summer, to 2 hours a week in the winter. If you lived in Florida, you could be outside more. This was a reason why I think Florida is the best state.

The second reason why Florida is the best state is because the ocean is surrounding it. Just because the ocean is surrounding Florida, more people will want to go there. According to flgov.com, “Overall in 2021, Florida had nearly 118 million domestic visitors.” As you can see, lots of people like to go to Florida for vacations. There are so many activities you can do when you are in Florida because of the ocean. For example, you can surf, boogie board, and more. 

The third reason why Florida is the best state is because there is no income tax. According to moving.com, there is no state income tax. If there is no income tax means that the state and government won’t take money away from the amount you make during the year. That means if you earn 300 dollars, the government won’t take 10-20% away as the tax income. If that happens, instead of getting your 300 dollars that you obtained, you would only get 30 dollars. 10% of what you earn goes to the government. In Florida, you can save 10% or more of the money you obtain.

In conclusion, the most superb state is Florida because of its climate, the ocean is surrounding it, and there is no income tax. I love summer, the hot, pleasant weather, air and the sand permeating through your toes. That is the definition of Florida. Three whole sides of Florida are enclosed with water. It’s the only state in the U.S. that is enclosed with water. Florida is the most optimum state in the U.S.A.
