7-8th Girls & Boys Basketball
On February 1, 2023, the 7th and 8th grade girls battled North Miami with a great win from the 7th grade and a tough but a learning experience for both teams. The 8th grade girls have started off the season 1-3 and the 7th grade girl 4-0. The 8th grade girls have had tough battles against Kokomo, North Miami, Peru, and their spectacular game against Tipton winning by five. The 7th grade girls have won the last and only four games, Kokomo, Peru, Tipton, and North Miami. All the girls show great teamwork when playing on both the 7th and 8th grade teams.
The game on February 1, both the 7th and 8th grade girls and the 7th and 8th grade boys played at North Miami. The 8th grade girls and the 8th grade boys played in the main gym, and the 7th grade girls and the 7th grade boys played in the auxiliary gym. All the teams fought hard battles. The 7th and 8th grade boys both ended their season there at North Miami.
Now, an interview from another one of the players on the 7th grade girls team, Maddie Lynch, on her favorite part of the 7th and 8th grade games, starting with the 7th grade girls game, “I thought the plays worked, how we (the team) played and worked together, and how we kept picking each other up when a big play or something intense happened.” And now this is Maddie Lynch’s opinion of the best part of the 8th grade girls’ game, “They scored and fought hard til the end.”
In conclusion, all four teams played hard fought games and fought til the end like Maddie Lynch said. Basketball is fun for all four teams that played together and worked together all the way to the end. The 7th and 8th grade girls look forward to continuing their season to a combative fight at Hamilton Heights on Monday, February 6, 2023.

I loved the article. I loved how hope talked about both the 7th and 8th grade girls and boys. When hope said that the 8th grade girls had tough battles and the 7th grade had good teamwork and they both played well. I liked how hope interviewed Maddie Lynch and had her speak about the 7th and 8th grade girl. When Maddie said that ” she thought the plays worked and how we ( the team) all worked together and kept picking each other up”. Keep up the good job 7th and 8th grade girls and boys basketball.

This is a great article Hope. I like how you were talking about the 7th and 8th girl basketball. You were telling us about the 7th grade girl winning the last game. You were also talking about how the 7th and 8th grade girls were a good team. Then you were talking about the boys 7th and 8th grade basketball team. And how they were working together too.
