The most famous book of all time 

When I was trying to figure out what I wanted to write my next feature about, I came across the idea of writing about my favorite book. My favorite book is the bible. While researching facts about the bible I found out that it is the most read book in the world. In the past fifty years, the bible has sold over 3.9 billion copies. It is the most recognizable and famous book that has ever been published to this day.

The Christian Bible was written between 1200 and 165 BC. The new testament was written in the first century AD. During the reign of Hezekiah of Judah in the eighth century historians believed that the Old Testament began to take form, the result of royal scribes recording royal history and heroic legends. Around 40 people wrote the bible. The individual books were written by many authors over many years in many places to many different people groups. Some of the authors of the bible are Moses,Ezra, Nehemiah, Solomon, Ethan, Asaph, Agur, Jeremiah and more.

Written under the supernatural guidance of the holy spirit by scholars, the bible is profound, containing 66 ancient books. The Bible is 1200 pages long. It is also the first book to be printed and able to be passed around and sent. The first time the contents of the bible were found was in the 1840s. It was discovered at  St Catherine monastery at the base of Mt Sinai in Egypt.

The Bible is such a powerful and popular book that on average 85 percent of U.S. households own a bible. The average number of Bibles per household is 3.  There are more than 80,000 different versions of the Bible that generate at least 1 sale annually. When reading the Bible you learn about the twelve disciples. The twelve prophets in the Bible all contributed to the Old Testament. These prophets are Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi. 

The Amity Printing Company in Nanjing, China, continues to produce Bibles year after year. China is currently the biggest producer of Bibles in the world with over 600 employees. The Bible is sold in almost every book store and the bible is being sent out all over the world. I personally love the Bible so much it leaves me feeling happy and encouraged. I would recommend it to anyone. It truly is a special book.
