Have you ever wanted to take a trip to a different country? Thanks to Mrs. Karmel, you now have the opportunity to experience a completely different culture. In the summer break of 2024, Mrs. Karmel is planning a trip to Costa Rica, and she is inviting anyone that wants to attend. Although that seems like a long way away, and it is, there is a reason I am telling you about this now. This trip, unfortunately, has a hefty price tag associated with it. This trip will cost a little more than $3,000. Although this may deter most people from even considering this once in a lifetime experience, do not turn away from this opportunity just yet. Mrs. Karmel has set up multiple ways to raise money and reduce cost for this trip. From enrolling early, to getting free financial aid, there are multiple ways to reduce the steep cost. Mrs. Karmel has also reserved spots in concession stands for students to volunteer in order to pay for some of the trip. She also has multiple fundraising packets available in her room right now, so go get them now and start raising money. This trip will be at a greatly discounted cost if you seize every opportunity to pay for the trip. If you work hard enough, you may be able to completely nullify the cost. After the hefty cost, you will finally get to experience the wonderful country of Costa Rica. Throughout the trip, you will get the opportunity to explore coastal parks, enjoy the Arenal volcano, and see various wildlife while walking through the Manuel Antonio National Park. There is also the opportunity to go ziplining, if you thought this trip was solely educational. As for the food situation, you will be provided a healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You may even be given the opportunity to make your own food. Along with all these exciting and enjoyable activities on this 10-day trip, you are also able to earn high school or even college credits by attending this trip.
While you are in a different country, there are obvious safety concerns; however, the tour guide accompanying the group has multiple certifications and is more than qualified to make the experience safe and exciting. There is also a travel protection plan in case some unfortunate event does occur, which covers various situations, such as cancellations due to illness, theft of passports or visas, and flight cancellations due to bad weather. In addition to these safeguards, we will be staying at 3-4 star hotels; therefore, you should not worry whether where you sleep is safe or not; however, you are most likely going to share a room with at least one other person, so you may want to leave Mr. Teddy at home. You should just be able to focus more on the experience and whether you are safe or not. Overall, this trip is an amazing opportunity to experience a different culture!
