Lewis Cass Kings Choir is a class we have here at Cass. The teacher or director for choir is Mrs. Dubois, we have 5 total Choirs. Kings Crescendos which is the 6th grade choir, Kings Chorus which is the Jr.High choir, but this year there were so many sixth graders signed up for choir that Mrs. Dubois had to split the 6th graders up. Kings Chorale is the advanced Jr. High choir. Kings Charisma is the high school choir while Kings Collective is the Advanced High School Choir.
First let’s talk about the Crescendos! Like stated before, Crescendos are the 6th grade choir. This choir includes most of the 6th grade choir kids. I asked Drayke Alford why he joined choir and what his favorite part of choir is. His response was “Cause I think choir would be fun. My favorite part of choir is when I sing with my friends”.
I also asked Camdym Smith and here was her response, “The reason I joined choir is because I love music. It just lets my heart release and it’s soothing to me. Also because Mrs. Dubois is an amazing teacher and she is another reason I joined choir.” I also asked Drayke what songs they are singing for the fall concert. The crescendos are singing “Un Poco Loco”, “Larger Than Life”, and “ Take Me Home Country Roads”.
Next we will talk about Kings Chorus and Kings Chorale. These are the junior high choirs. The Kings Chorus, like stated before, is the junior high choir. There are 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in this choir. There were so many 6th graders that signed up for choir Mrs. Dubois moved some into Chorus. Chorale is the advanced junior high choir. There are 7th and 8th graders in this choir. For the fall concert Chorale is singing “Some Things Never Change”, “Sisi Ni Moja”, “Lean on me” , and “A Million Dreams”. Chorus is singing “Touch the sky”, “Two Oruguitas”, and “Glorious”. We asked Spencer Bowman from Kings Chorale a few questions and here’s his answer “I’m spencer and I’m in Kings Chorale, my favorite thing in choir is meeting new people and learning new songs to perform.” We also asked Elleney Bridges from Kings Chorus a few questions as well, here was her response. “I joined choir because I love to sing, I have been singing since I was little”.
Next we will talk about the high school choirs. There are two high school choirs at Lewis Cass. They are Kings Charisma and Kings Collective. Kings Charisma is the high school choir, and Kings Collective is the advanced high school choir. This year’s first choir concert is themed Some Things Never Change from frozen. The concert will be opened with Collective and Chorale singing Some Things Never Change. That is some stuff about the high school choirs at Lewis Cass.

Lewis Cass has an amazing choir. We all work really hard to make it that way. We would all like to thank Mrs. Dubois for making it all possible. Choir is a safe space where we can all sing together, Choir here is really like one big family.
