If you are a chicken connoisseur, I have found the place for you! A new Raising Cane’s location opened in Kokomo, Indiana on the corner of East. Markland and Reed Road in place of the old Long John Silvers and A&W stand. Since its opening, this new Cane’s location has been booming for about two weeks. The Kokomo restaurant consists of a double drive-through and fun prizes for their coveted grand opening. Cane’s gave the first twenty customers free Cane’s for a year, and the next one hundred people got a Raising Cane’s T-shirt.
Kokomo Cane’s will be open from 10 am to midnight on Sunday through Thursday and 10 am to 1 am on Friday and Saturday. The new restaurant will bring around 100 jobs to the town of Kokomo giving more opportunities to high school and college students. Raising Cane’s opened its first restaurant in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana founded by Todd Graves and Craig Silvey. The company is named after Graves’ dog which was a yellow labrador according to (Fox 59 News). The menu of Raising Cane’s might be the most complex menu of all restaurants, it consists of a three or six-piece chicken strip basket or a chicken strip sandwich which is my personal favorite. The meal consists of coleslaw and Texas toast, then what makes Cane’s restaurant the restaurant it is… the signature Cane’s sauce!
Raising Cane’s could put all the other chicken places in Kokomo in some hot oil, as Cane’s seems to be the spot in Kokomo bringing in high school, college, and adults on their lunch breaks looking to get a good-tasting quick meal after a long day. Raising Cane’s has opened seven locations in Indiana and plans to open another in Westfield, Indiana with over three hundred and fifty locations in thirty-five different states across the U.S. In 2023, the franchise opened eighty-eight new locations while entering fifteen new market business areas, and they are planning on opening another one hundred locations across the United States.
Out of the restaurants in Kokomo, Raising Cane’s, will be a top-five or even top-rated restaurant in Kokomo. Having been to both Kokomo and Bloomington locations, I have been impressed with both. I know a lot of different franchises and restaurants could taste better at one location, than the other location, but with Raising Cane’s it seems to never fail my taste buds no matter the location. I feel the main reason for this is they offer such a simple and easy menu that it is very easy to keep the taste of the chicken similar throughout all locations.
