The 2024 Super Bowl will be the 58 all-time. This year it is being played between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. This will be San Francisco’s eighth trip to the big game, although the last time they came out on top was in 1995. The 49ers have been one of the top competitors in the league for the past five or so years making their way to the Super Bowl in 2020 where ironically they faced the Chiefs and lost 31-20. This would be the Chief’s sixth time going to the Super Bowl. Their last time here was also in 2020.
This game could really go either way if you ask me. Both sides have so many weapons. The Chiefs obviously have one of the, if not the best, quarterback, and tight-end duo of all time. According to People.com’s Natasha Dye, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes just passed Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski for most postseason touchdown passes, that number being sixteen. Kansas City’s defense, however, will have a very tough time stopping Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy who has become anything but irrelevant. Another one of the 49er’s weapons is Christian McCaffrey. This season alone, McCaffrey has racked up more than 2,000 all-purpose yards to go with 21 touchdowns according to ESPN.com.
There has been a lot of drama in the league this year. Most of it is about Taylor Swift and the Chiefs. Many conspiracy theories have been introduced about the Super Bowl this year. One conspiracy theory from Mr. Hull is that Travis Kelce will receive the game-winning catch, as time expires, and the Chiefs will win. After this, Taylor Swift will run onto the field and sing “Love Story” with Kelce, and then Travis will propose on the stage. Yes, I am aware that is really out there, and I would be stupefied if this actually happened, I think we all would be. This next conspiracy theory is very riveting in my opinion. The last presidential election was in 2020 between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, which is also the last time the Chiefs and 49ers met in the Super Bowl. In this theory, if the Chiefs win, then Joe Biden will become President once again, but if the 49ers win, Donald Trump will once again retain the title. The reason Biden will become President is because if the Chiefs win, Taylor Swift will use her popularity to then make Joe Biden more popular by talking about him or the election at the end of her concert or something.
In the end, this game could determine our future as a country, so I would recommend watching the big game on Sunday at 6:30 on CBS or Paramount+.
