You are wrapped in a blanket, sitting around the campfire, while feeling the September breeze. After a long day of activities, it is nice to just sit by the fire and relax. All your family and friends are chatting, eating smores and just having a good time. Everyone is grateful to have a long weekend, after a stressful week of work and school. Everybody needs a break once and a while to just have fun and relax. Lewis Cass students were asked about their plans for the upcoming Labor Day weekend.
Lauren Tocco, a sophomore at Lewis Cass, was asked about her Labor Day weekend plans. Lauren said that her plans for the weekend are to go to Bloomington for her sixteenth birthday! She says her mom plans on taking her and her friends to an escape room and out to eat at Mother Bears on IU’s ( Indiana University’s) campus. When asked what she was most excited about, Tocco said, “ I am most excited to just spend the weekend with my friends and be a part of my friends’ first IU experience!”
Next, Alyiah Reynoso, a sophomore at Lewis Cass, was also asked what she was doing over Labor Day weekend. Reynoso stated her plans for this weekend were to pick up her cousins at the airport who were flying in from Seattle, Washington. She is attending a cookout at another cousin’s house. They plan on eating hamburgers, hotdogs, and tacos. Alyiah said she is going to the cookout with her dad’s side of the family and a few friends. Reynoso added, “ I am most excited to see my cousins again because I missed them very much and am excited they get to experience the Indiana-life for the first time. I am also excited to be together as a family and eat delicious food.”
Then, Lexi Gotshall, a sophomore at Lewis Cass was asked questions about her Labor Day weekend plans. Lexi said for Labor Day weekend her plans are to go to a sheep show. At her sheep show, she and her family will be camping out so she cannot wait to camp out and do what she loves, with the people she loves. On Labor Day she will be on a boat at the lake with her friends. Lexi is going to her sheep show with all her family but her family friends will be there too and she is so excited to see them! When asked what she was most looking forward to, Gotshall said, “ I am most excited to see how well the show goes and hang out with all my family and friends. I am also super excited to relax on the boat after a long weekend!
Lastly, Brecken Smith, a freshman at Lewis Cass was asked questions about his Labor Day weekend plans. Brecken said he is going to Kentucky with his family for Labor Day weekend. While in Kentucky he is going to visit his aunt, uncle, and cousins, and participate in hunting, and go boating. He is also going camping. Smith stated, “ I am most excited about seeing my family and hunting.” He leaves for Kentucky early Saturday morning and comes back late on Monday.
In conclusion, this Labor Day weekend is going to be full of fun activities for Lewis Cass students. This includes traveling, camping, spending quality time with friends and family, eating delicious food, celebrating birthdays, hunting, boating, and traveling to the Indiana University campus. All of these things seem to be great activities to participate in, places to travel, and spend quality family time. So the real question is, what are you doing on Labor Day weekend?
