There have been many dinosaur movies that have come out in the last few decades, but Jurassic World: Rebirth gives exciting new angles and takes. It is filled with high-stakes moments and gives bursts of adrenaline throughout the whole movie. The cast features promising, upcoming, and new actors to help the Jurassic World franchise seem relevant and fitting. Even if you did not care to watch the multiple other Jurassic movies, this one is worth watching and will definitely surprise you. The plot mostly remains the same in the Jurassic movies, and all give off the same ideas. Jurassic World: Rebirth is traditional and follows along the same plot line.
It is still based in the same period known as the Neo-Jurassic period. In the movie, the dinosaurs are being affected by climate change, which causes them to move closer toward the human population all across the world. New York Times journalist Alissa Wilkinson says, “They’ve mostly been herded toward the Equator in an area to which humans are strictly forbidden to travel.” The dinosaurs moving closer puts humans in an unsafe and dangerous environment. Everyone, including big corporations, starts running around attempting to fix the problem and get the humans back to being safe. The humans have no other choice but to take matters into their own hands and defend themselves.
The dinosaurs have become more threatening and dangerous, which makes the humans want to figure out how to save themselves. The team sent out a group to go on a dangerous journey to hopefully find the dinosaur DNA on a remote island, Île Saint-Hubert. The group being sent out centers on a scientist, who works for a big tech company, and Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansen). The company needs dinosaur DNA to produce certain treatments, such as a cure for heart disease. The group went to scavenge on the island and look for the DNA. The island contains a research plant once built for Jurassic Park.
The team soon realized that it was not going to be as easy as they thought. The park was taken over and is now inhabited by dangerous and life-threatening creatures. The dinosaurs come in all different types, such as air, land, and water. They are very harmful and deadly creatures that can hurt the team being sent out if they catch them. Towards the start of their journey, they encounter a stranded family. Florida Today’s Samantha Neely explains more, “Along the way, they rescue a shipwrecked family and end up crashing onto the island themselves.” The family includes two children and their father. The family got stuck in the park after the dinosaurs destroyed their transportation to get back home.
The team and the family work together to understand what they need and get off the island safely. The group starts searching for the dinosaur DNA while also watching out for the threats all around. While the group is looking, they soon realize the scientist’s intentions are not pure. His true motive was to get the medical equipment and gain profit. The team left the scientist behind and continued their mission to find the DNA. The team encounters many challenges and life-threatening obstacles during their journey. They overcame them and worked together to push through to get what they came for. Zora, the family, and the rest of the team find the DNA and all make it back safely.
So, should you watch Jurassic World: Rebirth? If you want to watch a movie that is thrilling and jaw-dropping, then this is the perfect pick for you. If you like the action-packed movies that will make you jump out of your seat, Jurassic World: Rebirth might just be your next favorite watch.
