From singing to dancing, to laughing and crying, the cast of Waitress overall did a fantastic job! And this is for sure not a show you want to miss out on. Waitress will be showing at the Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre from now until August 31, 2025. If you love musicals, you will definitely need to give Beef and Boards Dinner Theater a shot, and if you are 18 or older and love musicals, you should audition. That’s right! Beef and Boards is needing actors for their 2026 season. The shows for 2026 will be announced On September 2, 2025, and auditions will be September 8 & 9, 2025. This past weekend, I got the opportunity to watch Waitress at the Beef and Boards Dinner Theater with my family. This is a heart-warming story of a woman named Jenna (Played by Keirsten Hodgens) going through life one slice of pie at a time. In this show, she reaches for her dreams, celebrates friendships, and even finds the joy of motherhood. While watching this musical you will laugh, cry, and feel so much more! Cathy Bryant, (my grandma) had this to say about her review of the show, “I absolutely loved the show and I thought that the actors put a lot of heart, work, and effort into it. I definitely cried a few times, but I really enjoyed how funny the show was too. ” But emotions are not the only thing they serve.

The shows change every seven weeks with an amazing lineup! This year the musicals that have been shown already, and the musicals that have not been shown yet are: Murder on the Orient Express, Jersey Boys, Waitress, The Little Mermaid, Heartbreak Hotel, and a Beef and Boards Christmas. My family loves going to Beef and Boards, especially my mom. When asked what surprised her the most about Waitress, Courtney Kaylor (my mom), had to say, “I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the songs. I had heard some of them before and didn’t really like them, but in the musical, they were better.”
If this is your first time hearing about Beef and Boards or you’ve been a thousand times. Beef and Boards Dinner Theater is a special place to get away and experience something you can not anywhere else. Always look for “a little slice of heaven” in this life.
