Have you ever heard of Kings for Christ (KFC)? Well, if you haven’t that is what we are going to be talking about: Kings for Christ. “KFC” is where you learn about how to have a Godly life in school. It’s located in Miss. Sonafrank’s class at 7:10 on Wednesday mornings.
At KFC the leaders teach lessons to the people that attend KFC. Some of the lessons are about the fruit of the spirit or how to trust in God even when it’s hard. KFC is a student-led program. Miss. Sonafrank said, “It’s really good and student leaders put a lot of effort into the lessons to make them engaging for the students.
This year, the Kings for Christ leaders are Alexis Alford (12th grader), Laruen Tocco (11th grader), and Rebekah Birkey (10th grader). One of them teaches every week, they share their opinions with the kids and help them understand the verses and lessons they’re teaching. They provide breakfast so that the kids can eat while they’re listening to the bible lesson.
Kings for Christ is a great way to learn about God while in school; because if you can’t make it to church on weekends, then you can go to KFC. That doesn’t mean you should skip church on Sunday, but if you can’t go then KFC is always an option. KFC is a great place to learn about God outside of church. Kids from every grade in the high school can come to KFC.
KFC is fun and interactive, the leaders don’t just sit and talk the whole time they have you answer questions and they also help you learn the lesson by engaging in discussion with you. They teach you to be the light of God and to not hide that light from your school, friends, family, and others.
