The biggest sporting in America is this Sunday. The Super Bowl is the championship game of the National Football League. Both conference championship games were very exciting. The Rams beat the Saints in a controversial game with a missed call, and with the Patriots beat the NFL’s most valuable player Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. This matchup is familiar. These teams played in Super Bowl 36 in 2002. Those teams are the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots. However the Rams were located in St. Louis at the time of the last game.

Both teams are polar opposites. Los Angeles is filled with controversial and confident superstars. LA is filled with big name players such as Todd Gurley, Jared Goff, Aaron Donald, and Ndamukong Suh plus many more. The Los Angeles QB is the former number one overall pick is Jared Goff. The Rams have the youngest coach in the game in Sean Mcvay. New England is a very quite team that always wins with their players not talking much besides Rob Gronkowski their superstar tight end. The New England quarterback is a six round draft pick and did not have all the expectations that Jared Goff had starting his career. That player is Tom Brady. Tom is now a five-time Super Bowl champ. New England’s head coach is Bill Belichick who is the second oldest coach in the league.

Both teams are kind of similar in a way. They both have good to great quarterbacks with Jared Goff from the Rams and Tom Brady from the Patriots. They also have great running games. The Rams usually use Todd Gurley most of the time and CJ Anderson the rest of the time and the Patriots use multiple players to rack  up the running yards. They also both have amazing coaches with Coach Sean Mcvay for LA and Bill Belichick for New England.

This game will be super exciting if both teams play on their best. Both teams can put up big scoring numbers with good offenses. Each team has reasons that they can win or lose tonight’s game. I will start with New England. New England as the better quarterback in Tom Brady who has more experience than Jared Goff. The Patriots have a great passing attack. They lead the league in passing yards per game. They are also second in rushing yards and first in rush defense. All these stats are from the postseason so far. Now for the Rams. They have more big time players that can make more big time plays when needed, such as Brandin Cooks, and Todd Gurley. LA also has a great defensive line with Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh. They will get to Tom Brady. They have a good secondary with good cornerbacks and safeties..

Each of these teams have great reasons for them to win the Super Bowl. My prediction is the Los Angeles Rams will knock off the Patriots in a thriller. The score I think will be 33 to 28. In a huge win for the Rams. Also, with this loss, this would be back to back years that the Patriots lose in the Super Bowl. The game will start at 6:30 on CBS. If you don’t want to watch the football, there  is always the halftime show and the comerials. I hope everyone watches the game because it will be a good one.
