The End of the NBA Season Soon!

My+favorite+two+MVP+candidates.

My favorite two MVP candidates.

The end of a season is sad for most people and that is true to me. The NBA seasons is rapping up with most teams having around 20 to 25 games left in the season till the playoffs. So many questions need to be answered. Who will win MVP, what teams will make the playoffs, what teams miss the playoffs, does Lebron James carry the Lakers into the playoffs, who will win the championship and many more questions. Most of these questions will be answered in early April besides the championship because that is in June.

This year’s MVP race has multiple candidates that have a serious shot of winning it. Those players in my opinion are Paul George, James Harden, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Nikola Jokic. Each of these guys are having outstanding reasons for winning this great award. I will start with Paul George. He is leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to the third best record in the Western Conference. He is having his best statistical year by far with average the most points in his career and playing outstanding defense.  Also George has played outstanding in big games with clutch shots. So he has a great case of winning the award. Next is Nikola Jokic, this man is playing the best basketball of his career right now and leading the Denver Nuggets to the second seed in the Western Conference. Jokic can do it all besides defense. So I believe 2019 is not the year for him to win MVP.

The best scorer in the league right now is Houston Rocket James Harden; he is having one of the most understanding years in league history by averaging 37 points, eight assist, and seven rebounds. The only problem is that the Rockets right now are the fifth seed in the West and could go down in the standings. Then my pick is Milwaukee Bucks Power Forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek-Freak is a monster on the court by dunking on people and destroying other players and teams. Giannis is leading the Bucks to the number one seed in the East averaging an incredible 27 points, 12 rebounds, one and half blocks, six assists, and a steal. These stats and leadership make him my pick. If not Giannis, I have Harden winning the award.

The playoff picture in both of the conferences are heated with multiple teams so close of missing the playoffs or making the playoffs. This will be a super close race to the end and it may be decided on the last game of the season. My predictions is that for the Western Conference is that the Golden State Warriors, Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Portland Trail Blazers, Houston Rockets, Utah Jazz, Sacramento Kings, and San Antonio Spurs all make the playoffs. This means Lebron James will miss the playoffs- the first time since his rookie season. Now for the Eastern Conference predictions, I have these eight teams. I have the Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, Indiana Pacers, Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Detroit Pistons, and the Charlotte Hornets to make the playoffs.

Now with those predictions for who is making the playoffs, I have my teams I think will make the playoffs. I have the Golden State Warriors matching up with the Philadelphia 76ers in the finals. Both of these teams are loaded with great players. But even with the great talents that the Sixers have, they will lose to the Warriors. Both conferences will have great games and playoffs series this spring. We will just have to wait for the answers.
