Bullying

Bullying

We always say something about it but nothing truly happens when we talk about. Where do we begin? Let’s start with what we need to talk about. People talk about bullying and how we need to stop it, but we just talk about it and nothing ever happens. We do have an app for it called ‘Stop It’, but no one uses it because they think they are a snitch or a tattle tale. Bullying affects people’s lives and how people feel about themselves. They do what they think other people like, just to avoid being bullied as much as possible. Bullying can affect people’s state of mind and concentration, and can affect how they feel about themselves. Thinking they are not enough, or that they are not good enough for a sport because people look at the size of each other and judge them by it, or make fun of eachother. It is not funny, and it will never be funny. It’s not right to judge people because you are just making a joke of yourself. Over fourteen percent of high school students have considered suicide, and almost seven percent have attempted it. Suicide is the third leading cause of death because people think its cool or funny to bully people. I think the reason why people try to commit suicide is because they think that suicide is a way out. As a person who has been bullied, I can tell you that suicide is not a solution to get out of the pain and misery. You put the people that care about you through the same pain and misery.

If you, or a friend is going through a rough time, and might even be thinking about suicide, talk to someone you trust. Don’t keep it in, let it out.

‘’Speak out about bullying going on around you. It doesn’t matter what you are and God doesn’t care about who or what you are.’’
