What’s next for the Bucks?
This past Tuesday the Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Miami Heat in the second round of the playoffs in only five games. This was very disappointing for the Bucks due to the team having the best record in the league and being heavy favorites of going to the NBA Finals. This is the second straight year for the Bucks having the best record in the league and still not making the finals. So the question arises: what’s next for this great team and their superstar player in Giannis Antetokoumpo?
On June 27, 2013, the Milwaukee Bucks with the 15th pick selected a 6’9 190 lbs forward out of Greece who was 18 years old. People didn’t expect much out of this European unicorn, but he became something bigger than everyone expected. That player is Giannis Antetokoumpo, he is now a one time MVP, one time defensive player of the year, and four-time all-star. Anteokoumpo’s contract is up in 2021 so after next season he is free to sign with any team he wants to play for. The Bucks have the opportunity to pay him more than everyone else by giving him the supermax contract. Giving Antetokounmpo his extension will be on the bucket list and will be their priority.
The Milwaukee Bucks are a very deep team and have players to trade to add another superstar for Antetokounmpo to play with. If I were the Bucks I would trade for another scorer that can also be a playmaker. The perfect option would be Chris Paul of the Oklahoma City Thunder or Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards. Both of these players would be great options next to Giannis. Beal would be a perfect fit next to Giannis due to him being a great scorer and an excellent shooter of the catch. That would be amazing for Giannis when he drives in and gets doubled so he can kick out to Beal for a wide-open corner three. Chris Paul also would be a great fit by relieving Giannis’s role as a playmaker and let Giannis be more focused on defense and scoring the basketball. Paul and Antekoumpo also would be excellent in the pick and roll game. If they leave Paul open he will knock down the open mid-range jump shot but if they leave Giannis open Paul would only have to throw a good alley-oop pass up to Giannis for the dunk. I believe it will be very important for the Bucks to add another superstar so they can compete to win the NBA finals.
The Bucks will have a very interesting offseason with many moves deciding their future. If it goes perfect they could be NBA Champions by 2021 but if it goes bad they could be losing their superstar in Giannis Antetokounmpo. I can’t wait to see what the Bucks will do because it can change the NBA forever.

Great Article. I agree the Bucks need another star to help Giannis. Especially with superstar stacked Nets, and the complete Heat.

I think this is a great article. The bucks are a very good team but I don’t think they can compete in the playoffs without another superstar player. I think that Bradley Beal would fit perfectly.

Great article I think the Bucks should keep Giannis. Because I personally think that they won’t be that good without him.

Great article Jack! You made some really great points in this article. I really like how you brought up Chris Paul because I agree with you in the fact that he would be perfect for the team. He even took the Thunder, a team everyone thought was going to be terrible, to the playoffs and forced a game seven against Harden and the Rockets. Keep up the great work!

Terrific article Jack! I like the points that you brought up about the Bucks. I agree that Giannis needs another star player with him on the team to get to a championship. I like that you brought up Bradley Beal and Chris Paul because I think one of them should come to the team as well. I enjoyed your article Jack!

I really like the article Jack! I like how you explained about the Bucks recent decisions and what they have done with their team. They seem to fail to come through in clutch moments especially in the playoffs. I really think they need to sign and trade another good player like Tobias Harris. Keep up the great writing Jack!

Great article, I liked how you represented the trade options and when Giannis got drafted to the bucks in 2013. Hopefully the Bucks get a better squad with Bradley Beal or Paul George from trades.

I like the article and like the fact that you mentioned the trade opinions. I feel like it would be better with Paul because of his play making ability. Great article.

I like how you mention how the Milwaukee Bucks will do in the off season . I’m hoping that the Milwaukee Bucks will be better in the playoffs and go to the NBA finals next year. This was a very good article I enjoyed reading it

Amazing article, I really liked how you were able to mention trades and draft picks. I just dont think the bucks are capable on winning a chip. The bucks fail to deliver in the clutch moments, even through out the season. not to mention they contently get beat in the playoffs. I just dont think Giannis is able to lead a team. Giannis is Pippen and he needs his Jordan to win.
Bryce Rudd • Sep 17, 2020 at 12:34 pm
Great article Jack! I agree with you that the Bucks need another superstar on their team to help Giannis and the Bucks. I also like how you gave your opinion on who you think the best fit would be for the Bucks. Keep up the great writing!

I like that you named off Giannis’ achievements and when he was drafted. I think that the bucks could for sure use Bradley Beal. I like the writing keep it up!
McCoy Taylor • Sep 17, 2020 at 12:21 pm
I totally agree with the fact that if the bucks got Bradly Beal he would be a great option to help out the team. Still leaving Giannis as the playmaker, but paul would also be a nice option to take the role of the playmaker off Giannis’s shoulders and let him focus on other roles like defense.

I like how you mention when the freak was drafted.I agree the bucks need somebody else to help the freak . I think chris paul would be the best fit. Keep up the great writing!!!
