One mode of transportation is a forklift. A forklift is a machine that people drive to carry large cargo shipping containers and other heavy objects. The fork lift was invented to be a way for people working in the dockyards, to have a way to move the large objects without the risk of getting hurt. 

No one really knows who invented the forklift, but the Clark Company is usually always credited with being the inventors in 1917. There haven’t been many changes other than having better technology and putting a cage on the area to protect the driver from falling objects. I would improve it by having an alarm to know when people are around so there isn’t a chance of getting hurt by a forklift because forklift accidents happen more often than people think.
