Do You Prefer Home Cooked Food or Restaurant Food?

Most people say that they prefer both, but both of them have downsides and upsides. Starting with home cooked food, home cooked meals are supposedly one of the best types of meals. You get not only the thrill of cooking yourself, but you also get the delightful surprise of the results. Most of the time, home cooked meals are also healthier since you cook them yourself, which means you use less oil or less grease. You can also enjoy some nostalgia, meaning you feel like perhaps it’s your mother’s cooking all over again. However, home cooking can be quite expensive since you have to buy the ingredients yourself. Nowadays with inflation, home cooking can be very expensive if you’re going for a fantastic meal.

On the contrary, going out to eat allows you to enjoy not only the scenery of a restaurant, but also the delicious food. The waiters and waitresses would take care of you and are supposed to treat you with respect. Now, that doesn’t always mean that you get the experience you’re looking for. Some restaurants are very dirty and not an expert in the food they’re cooking, (or at least it seems like it). Also, sometimes the waiters and waitresses are very rude and disrespectful and do not care about how they’re treating you, it might be either because their boss treats them unfairly, they don’t get paid enough, or they could be tired. Another reason could be that the customers are not respectful to the workers.

Some people prefer to eat home cooked meals because their stomachs cannot handle a large amount of grease and heavy foods. Sometimes people prefer going out to eat because they’re bored of the food they’re cooking or they don’t know how to cook. As you can see, there are both pros and cons to eating out vs eating home cooked meals. Which do you prefer? Home cooked meals with the smells and nostalgia, or restaurant meals with the scenery?
