The Rookie is a show on many different streaming platforms. The Rookie concerns the lives of the individual police officers  and solving crimes, but mostly shows the life of officer John Nolan. John Nolan, a 45-year-old newly divorced man from Pennsylvania, who, nine months after helping police officers during a bank robbery in his hometown of Foxburg, moves to Los Angeles to pursue a new career as a police officer in the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). This show is a very very action thrilling show. 

The Rookie is a five season show with ten plus episodes in each season. The main characters in the show are Nathan Fillion (John Nolan), Alyssa Diaz (Angela Lopez), Richard T. Jones (Wade Gray), Titus Makin Jr (Jackson West), Melissa O’Neil (Lucy Chen), Afton Williamson (Talia Bishop), Mekia Cox (Nyla Harper), Shawn Ashmore (Wesley Evers) , and Eric Winter (Tim Bradford). Spoilers may be ahead so if you haven’t watched it be prepared. 

I am now going to tell you about one of my favorite episodes that I have watched. In season four episode one many crazy things happened. People were kidnapped, killed, and rescued. Let’s start from the beginning of the episode. The episode starts off at Angela and Wesley’s wedding. Where La fiera (cartel leader) kidnapped Officer West and Detective Lopez and took Lopez back to her high security house in Guatemala. La fiera’s son had been killed because of her line of work, and Lopez told her she’s the reason he is dead. So La fiera’s plan was to keep Lopez for three months until she gave birth, then keep Lopez’s child as her own. Wesley (lawyer) then made a deal with Elijah Stone (criminal) to be a dirty lawyer for him and his team. He told Wesley where Lopez was, then the cops got to work to find her. The cops made a plan then they flew down to Guatemala and rescued her. But it wasn’t so easy to rescue her; the team had to go through many obstacles and even change plans to get them all home safely. Lopez had her baby safely, her and Wesley continued to take care of the baby and take time to themselves. Officer Jackson West was killed by one of La fiera’s workers; they later caught him and got Jackson justice.

If you like thrilling shows that are action filled then this show is for you. This show keeps you on your toes and leaves you wondering what will happen next. Even if you aren’t a big TV watcher this show will make you want to keep watching. I hope if you watch this show you will enjoy it!
