The Lewis Cass seventh grade basketball team has fought hard in these games with many wins and losses, many of the boys worked extra hard to win games. The team battled in all of their games and worked hard to score. In this article we will be explaining the seventh grade basketball team and their highlights.
Colton Smith is the coach on the court. He would tell you what to do to be great. He is a great contributor to the team’s points in the paint. Sawyer Eshelman was also a great contributor in assists and helpside defense. “Gavin Gribsby is always on the floor and giving it his all” to contribute to the team, a quote from Coach Chambers. All of these boys contributed to the team in great ways.
Even though the team had many failures the team kept trying and got better. It’s like what Wyatt Billiard says, “You never get better without failure.” Blake Fettig was a big contributor to the team as well he had a bunch of points to help the team win their games. Oakland Preston has been a star player in this season’s team. Oakland has had many threes and made two half court shots. He has also made many layups. Oakland is a great contributor to the team. He has made more three pointers than layups.
In a recent game against Maconaquah the boys fought hard, but the score ended up 41-7 and the Kings lost. Colton Smith had three points by shooting a layup and a foul shot. Blake Fettig had four points from two layups driving down the court. Wyatt Billiard fought very hard and fouled out with about zero point three seconds left on the clock. Oakland Preston aggressively blocked three shots that the opponents shot. The Kings fought very hard and played their hardest. The players trained and fought for a win in every game. The Kings have improved greatly this season and will continue to be great next season.
