Deep Thoughts
Amidst Heaven and Earth by Jazmine Leydet
You can’t keep me away
I’ll fly through the night like morning glaze
I’m a stray but never to the game
I’m alarmed of the night’s ray
The sun is my moon, the light of the day
When the moon falls, that’s when I’ll fade
I see the guilt underneath the shame
but i’m not amazed by the sound of my name
I can’t see through your eyes, just know I’m the love of your life

I honestly don’t read poetry that often, but this portrays a beautiful message. I find it very creative that you chose to write in this particular style. I hope you post more similar content! I would be thrilled to see more of your work!

Great poem! I don’t read a lot of poems, and I’m not too familiar with any. But I think that you did a great job with this! It is short but very well written and very well done. Keep up the good work!

I don´t read poetry often, but this is good wordplay. Its kind of refreshing to see a different kind of article being posted on the Courier. I look forward to more of these!
