See You At The Pole is a Christian-based event where you gather around the Flagpole at your school to pray for the students and faculty that go there, and the future of your school. See You At The Pole is a Nationwide event that happened all over the country on Wednesday. The theme verse for See You At The Pole is Jeremiah 29:13, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” See You At The Pole has not happened in a long time here at Lewis Cass. This made students excited for the event to come back this year. See You At The Pole is on Wednesday, Sep 27, 2023. At the event pastors, students, faculty, and the community plan to gather around the pole, pray, worship, and have a time of fellowship with each other. Churches throughout Cass County have encouraged their students to attend their See You At The Pole events at school. Upper Deer Creek, a church in Galveston, invited other surrounding churches for a pre-rally on Sunday, September 24, 2023, before the event. At the pre-rally for See You At The Pole, the students ate dinner, played games, listened to pastors speak, and spent lots of time in worship.
Mirikle Prince, head of KFC, was interviewed on her thoughts and feelings about the See You At The Pole event before it happened.“I feel that this is something that is going to be really good for our community and will be good for our school,” states Mirikle, “I am most excited about what God is going to do for our community and see others be encouraged by this.” Mirikle looks forward to seeing you at the Pole event.
On Wednesday morning just around 90 people showed up to stand up for their faith. Pastor Mark Davis opened the event up in prayer, and then some students were asked to read scripture and pray for the school, students, and community. After the students read scripture and prayed, the students broke up into small groups and prayed for the administration and faculty, students, the school body, and community members.
Mrs. Davis, Pastor Mark Davis’ wife, was asked if she felt the See You At The Pole had a good turnout, and if the pre-rally helped the event. “I feel like first of all the event was very good. We had almost 90 students show up and it was very encouraging to see so many students stand up for their faith,” Mrs. Davis also said, “I was really impressed with the number of students, especially since it was early in the morning. I really do think the pre-rally helped students get excited and helped them learn more about the event.”
The See You At The Pole event helped students come together and pray for their school, friends, and community. Students were reminded that the Lord is with them every day and they can lean on the people they love the most.
