A hotspot for Lewis Cass students’ post-athletic events is visiting the local Taco Bell. Taco Bell has released eight new items to add to its menu. Students are excited to try out these brand-new items. After seeing these new items I am sure the Taco Bell will be packed full.
The biggest item people are wanting to try is the crispy chicken nuggets. When thinking of chicken nuggets you probably think of McDonald’s or Burger King. Now Taco Bell is going to be serving these fresh nuggets. According to Katherine Rodriguez of NJ.com, “The nuggets will be served with a choice of jalapeno honey mustard and bell sauce.” Senior Eli Martin, was asked his thoughts on the new nuggets, and he said, “ They are very delicious and go really well with the Diablo sauce.” I also tried these nuggets, and I thought that they were delicious and the bell sauce went very well with the nuggets.
Another release Taco Bell had was the Dulce de Leche Cinnabon Delights. As stated by Katherine Rodriguez, “These are donut holes filled with dulce de leche sauce topped with fresh cinnamon sugar.” This item has been released in previous years but is now coming back to the menu. I also gave the Cinnabon Delights a try and I think they are definitely one of the tastiest items on the menu now.
The next item that I was able to try was the cheesy chicken crisp nada. This item is a stuffed tortilla with shredded chicken, tomato, and onion. It also has various types of cheese all put together such as cheddar, mozzarella, and Monterey pepper jack. The chicken crisp nada is served with a side of spicy ranch dipping sauce. When I tried this item I was not expecting much because I am not too fond of tomatoes and onions. This item surprised me after I tried it as it was very good and the spicy ranch sauce made it taste even better.
The last item that I was able to try was the Mountain Dew Baja Blast Gelato. This item is just a baja blast but in slushy form. Taco Bell is known for having the baja blast but what better way to make it than to put it in a slushy form? I tried this item and it surely did not disappoint me as it tasted just like a Baja blast but seemed to taste a lot better. I highly recommend trying this as it will not disappoint you.
There are four other items that I was not able to try yet or are soon to be released. These items include the cheesy street chalupas, the cheesy enchilada dipping taco, the Cheez-It crunch wrap, and the cantina chicken menu. According to Kathrene Rodrigez of NJ.com, “The cantina chicken menu is set to be released March 21 of this year and will contain the cantina chicken soft taco, crispy taco, quesadilla, and chicken bowl.” A date for the Cheez-It Crunchwrap has not been set yet but expect to see it on the menu in coming months.
Taco Bell will most likely attract more customers for months to come. If you are looking for some fresh new, food I highly recommend you to go to your local Taco Bell and give these items a try.
